Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigator to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location.
Harlingen Parks: Enjoy the Beauty!
With over 1200 acres of public park land, Harlingen is the place to go for hiking, biking, playing, and more. Our Geo-Quest will take you on tour of our parks, downtown, and other landmarks unique to our city. As you locate the geocaches make sure to write down the code found in that log book on the passport (downloadable PDF or you can pick one up at Parks and Recreation department). People who find 25 of the 28 caches can turn in their passport for the Harlingen Parks and Recreation Geocoin. So grab your family or some friends and come enjoy the beauty of Harlingen.
