A Reminder from the City of Harlingen Code Compliance Department
 
This information offered is an effort to enhance the understanding and cooperation between the Code Compliance Department and the residents of the City of Harlingen and we ask your help in keeping Harlingen a beautiful, enjoyable, and safe place to live.
 
Code Compliance helps in maintaining the quality of life for the residents of Harlingen. Code Compliance Officers assist property owners regarding code violations, and educates the public regarding the requirements of City Ordinances.
 
The staff at the Code Compliance Department is committed to these efforts.

  • Remove any trash/debris from your property

  • Report problem areas to Code Compliance
  • Volunteer at your community's  cleanup events
  • Support volunteer efforts
Business Owners
Here's what you can do:
  • Keep the area around your business clean
  • Pick up litter
  • Remove trash
  • Beautify the area around your business
  • Plant flowers
  • Clean windows
  • Remove graffiti
  • Volunteer your employees to community cleanup events
  • Support volunteer effort

Churches, Neighborhood Groups, and Schools
Here's what you can do:
  • Organize your group to assist at a community cleanup event
