Harlingen, Texas– With the approval of the Federal Disaster Declaration by the President of the United States, residents affected by the June flooding event can now register for assistance.
FEMA representatives will visit the affected areas soon however you don’t have to wait until somebody comes to knock on your door. Harlingen residents can apply right now by phone or online.
People affected will only have 60 days to register for federal help. The 60- day period began on July 6 when the declaration was signed.
Harlingen City Officials urge residents affected to get the ball rolling as soon as possible. FEMA encouages everyone to apply even if you have insurance.
