Town Hall Meetings Scheduled For This Week

Harlingen, Texas– The City of Harlingen will hold two Town Hall Meetings this week to discuss the ongoing cleanup efforts caused by the June 24 unexpected rain event and how the drainage system works. The Town Hall Meetings will be held at Lee H. Means Elementary School on July 9 and Moises Vela Middle School on July 11.

After any type of disaster, the recovery process can be overwhelming to the people affected.

That’s why the City of Harlingen has scheduled these public meetings.  Mayor Chris Boswell, Harlingen City Commissioners, City Administration, and City Staff will be on hand to talk about these subjects during the one hour forum scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on both days.

Residents affected by the June 24 rain event or those just wanting to learn how the drainage system works are encouraged to attend.  The Town Hall Meeting schedule is as follows.

  • July 9 – Lee H. Means Elementary, 102 E, Tx-499 Loop, Harlingen 5:30 p.m.
  • July 11– Moises Vela Middle School, 801 S. Palm Blvd., Harlingen 5:30 p.m.
