Harlingen, Texas–American Red Cross representatives will be in Harlingen on Saturday, July 6, 2019, to offer assistance to Harlingen residents affected by the June 24 unexpected rain event.
Lena Romero with Red Cross says the agency can provide cleanup kits, referrals, and even monetary assistance. In order to reach more people, the Red Cross will open a one day Community Disaster Assistant Center, at the Harlingen Public Library Auditorium from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow.
Those affected are encouraged to stop by and talk to Red Cross to see how they can be assisted in their recovery process.
The Harlingen Public Library is located at 410 76 Drive. You will need to provide proof that you live in the residence that was affected such as a driver license or utility bill.
