Harlingen, Texas–Every year communities across the nation celebrate and recognize their Public Works employees for the role they play in keeping the community running.
The Harlingen City Commission recently did just that by proclaiming the week of May 19-25, 2019, as National Public Works Week in Harlingen and calling on all residents to familiarize themselves with the contributions Public Works employees make to our daily lives, health, safety, comfort, and quality of life.
It is Public Works employees that pick up our trash, brush, and recyclables, fix our streets, road signs, traffic signals, other lights, maintain the landfill, and clean ditches.
Mayor Chris Boswell presented Public Works Director Rodrigo Davila and staff with a proclamation during the City Commission Meeting of May 15 thanking them for a job well done.
The City of Harlingen appreciates its Public Works employees!
