MMA Superintendent Recognized By City Commission

Harlingen, Texas–Today, May 18, 2019, is Colonel Robert G. Hill Day in Harlingen as proclaimed by the Harlingen City Commission as he prepares to retire from Marine Military Academy.


Hill, the superintendent for the MMA, was recognized at the City Commission Meeting of May 15 for his continuous support and service in the community.  Before MMA he served in the United States Marine Corps for 30 years where he received the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit Gold Star, Defense Meritorious Service Medal with an Oak Leaf, and the Navy Commendation Medal with Combat V and Gold Star.


He’s been with MMA for more than 23 years where he served as Support Activities Director, Chief of Staff, and Superintendent since 2006, and an active member of the community serving on many boards and organizations.


Today as he leaves his post as superintendent, the City of Harlingen thanks him for his service in the military and to the community and wishes him well on his retirement.
