HARLINGEN, Texas (July 22, 2021) – The Rotary Club of Harlingen recently presented Josh Ramirez with the Bill Card Community Service Award. As the Environmental Health Director, he has led the charge to combat COVID-19 in the community as well as getting people vaccinated.
To date, more than 21,000 people have been vaccinated in Harlingen via City-sponsored clinics.
The Rotary awards five distinguished awards yearly for service above self with one going to a community member and this year they chose Harlingen’s Health Director to recognize.
The award was presented to him during the public comments portion of the July 21, 2021, City Commission Meeting.
The City of Harlingen congratulates Josh Ramirez and thanks him for his tireless efforts to keep Harlingen COVID free.
